Based on the advice of Dr Perlmutter in his Drop Acid book, I’ve been monitoring my uric acid level at home regularly on a uric acid meter that I bought on Amazon due to my fluctuating high uric acid and frequent, severe gout attacks. Also, uric acid is one of the labs that Levels uses to determine our metabolic health. Unfortunately, uric acid meters and test strips are no longer available online according to this statement on fora-shop.com “ We regret to inform you that our uric acid-related products now require a prescription and must be used under the guidance of healthcare professionals. As a result, we have discontinued the direct sale of these products on our online store.” Canny members, please up-vote if you, too, monitor your uric acid at home and would like Levels to consider offering a prescription for uric acid meters and test strips to active Levels members for their personal use (without integrated Levels app tracking, of course).
