I want it to sync with fitnesspal

Yes- I don’t track macros in levels because it’s so inaccurate. I wish I could sync the program I already use. It has more functionality and is more accurate!

Donna Zurick I agree. Would love to be able to sync with Baritastic app. This one is annoyingly inaccurate and the names used for foods makes them difficult to find. I don’t want to have to create new foods all the time so I end up not tracking in the app.

Donna Zurick Lynette here from the Levels team. Which program are you currently using? We've recently updated the search database, while it still needs improvement it's much better than what we had even a few weeks ago, have you give it a try? Do you also utilize the barcode scanning feature?

Sky Pate I totally understand wanting to track with an app you may already be using. We've explored some integrations with larger apps like MyFitnessPal and Cronometer, but we've found they don't return enough data to import into the Levels app. This would likely also be the case for Baritastic. But I am happy to report that we're diligently working to improve the logging experience. If you'd like to give me some examples of things you'd like to log, I'd be happy to do a video demonstrating a few ways it can be done in the Levels app.

Lynette Diaz 90% of the time, the barcodes aren't recognized. I've just been taking photos.

Donna Zurick I find that the barcode scanner can be a bit finicky. It prefers really well lit photos. So often times I'll make sure I have good lighting and play with the distance of the barcode and usually that does the trick and if a barcode isn't recognized, I'll create a custom food and using the feature to available to scan the nutrition label. Let me know if this video helps: https://www.loom.com/share/82f8c8d2ee21405ebeb873ebb5ebbce1?sid=ace919a5-02c8-43ad-8fd6-b4386207c05d

Lynette Diaz that defeats the purpose of a barcode scanner. I am just using photos, but I wish I could at least designate them as a meal and not a note. The meal photo tries to identify the photo which based on todays meal is completely wrong.

Donna Zurick totally understand. I just wanted to be sure that the issue isn't that maybe the lighting or camera distance from the barcode might be the issue. The barcode is only truly 'not found' if you get the notification to create a custom foods. Are you finding that that's typically been the case? Would love to chat with you via zoom to make sure you're getting the most out of the app, feel free to book a time to chat here https://calendly.com/lynette-at-levels/support-call.
