Feedback:
I’d like to have the recent section include not just entire meals that have to be logged together, but rather frequently scanned items so I don’t have to dig through my pantry and rescan all the time.
An alternative could be to have my recently scanned items appear under the search function-

This is really what recents should be. You use ingredients to build a meal and not always a meal is the same. I find myself having to add a whole meal to the log in order to add 1 thing and delete the other 3. To avoid this have created my own foods(even when they show up by scanning the barcode) of items I use frequently to avoid all the work of rescanning everything.
