[Integration Request] Integration w MacroFactor or Apple Health Nutrition

Update: We've recently looked into an integration with a similar macro tracking app and unfortunately, these integrations typically do not allow us to pull ingredients or other details from their app into ours. This means we cannot retrieve enough data from them to create a meal log in the Levels app, so the integration would not work between the two apps.
We'll keep this request here in the event anything changes.

Lynette Diaz, you could consider pulling the macro data (calories, carb, fat, protein) from HealthKit to automatically classify spikes. Not sure you need all the ingredients.

Tejas Antani Our engineering team looked into this option, at the moment we've opted not to since looking at the macro data in isolation doesn't typically provide members enough context to understand their glucose data. It might be something we decide to add in the future, but as of now we are looking to focus on providing as much feedback as possible which requires more detailed inputs.
For example, 25g of carbs of bread can react very different from 25g of carbs of potatoes, or 25g of carbs in a beverage. If all we have is the macronutrient data, we are missing meaningful context.

Yes, pulling nutrition information from Apple Health would make Levels much more useful. I have used LOSE IT for almost 10 years and have big database that syncs with Apple Health. Many of my common foods are not found in your search menu or your AI. Really annoying to have to try to rebuild a new database in order to log, or to double enter meals into two logs.

Agreed. Macrofactor is the fastest, most intuitive food logging app I have found and I track everything I eat there. It synchronizes to Apple Health. If Levels can import food/nutrition data from Apple Health, it could acquire thousands of users from other food tracking apps. Users of other food tracking apps that sync to Apple Health could continue to use their favourite food tracking apps while also using Levels for personalized advice on their individual glucose response to the foods they already log (other food tracking apps don’t do this).

PLEASE. Would make the logging/tracking much more efficient and insightful for Levels, too!
