[Integration Request] Import nutrition data from Apple Health
Jamie Wiggs
I have only been doing this for a few weeks and it’s really frustrating to find items in the database unless you can scan a barcode.
I tried to text “meal with” the amounts of macronutrients and it brings up a bunch of random items that have similar macros.
I stopped keeping track in Levels because it’s ineffective and I’m not going to keep trying work around the system.
If there isn’t a solution by the time my membership renews I will cancel it.

Might as well add this for the Android side too via Health Connect.

If Levels were integrated with Apple Health for food logging this would mean we could use one of the more robust food logging apps (MyFitnessPal, Noom, Lose it) and have all food logging carry over. This would be a game changer for capturing food data.

I agree !! Please consider allowing Levels to read/write the meal logging results from Health. There are so many fully developed apps that your users are already happy with! I cannot stand having to log meals in both carb manager and levels, it’s a huge waste of time. Plus I’m sorry but levels food logging interface and functionality does not even come close to meeting existing apps being used by so many of your levels clients!

I agree 100%. I have used Carb Manager for years and it uploads all my macro/nutrition beautifully. I have recipes and favorites already setup in Carb Manager and it would take Levels years and years to add similar functionality. Please just add the ability to load the data from Health.
BTW I have been a CIO, an IT Director, and a consultant for Accenture’s predecessor org, Andersen Consulting. I have a lot of experience evaluating app functionality and training users. Trying to develop levels meal logging to the same level of functionality as those already being used is a very ambitious goal! Please consider a simpler, less expensive and more practical alternative!

I would love this feature. I have years of food logging already, not sure if that data would also be helpful for Levels. I don’t want to have to track my food on two apps. I use Macro Factor and it inputs all the data into Health app.

This may be more efficient than supporting multiple apps, it’d be nice to be able to log in another app that sends details to Apple Health and see data in levels.
